Marjan Philhour Strategic Partner
Marjan Philhour has been involved in Democratic politics over the past 15 years. She currently works with political campaigns and non-profits nationally and locally, in crafting and executing their fundraising strategy and activities.
Marjan's background includes serving as the chief of staff to the first woman to serve as chief of staff to a California Governor. She has worked in fundraising and development during John Kerry's 2004 presidential bid, and has worked in the field and finance operations of other statewide and local races.
She spent four years in Washington, DC, as a legislative assistant for both members of Congress and the Committee on Education and the Workforce. During her tenure on Capitol Hill, the scope of her work included advising and advocating issues relating to women, labor, the environment and health.
Marjan was born and raised in the Bay Area and received her bachelor's degree in political science from UC Berkeley.
